John S. Ferrara
John Ferrara was born and raised in Western Massachusetts. A graduate of Classical High School in Springfield, John obtained his Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts in 1975. His background in social work and court-ordered investigations led him to law school at Western New England College, where he received his law degree 1983. Since being admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 1983, John has made his name as an exceptional trial attorney, focusing primarily on criminal defense and medical malpractice.
John is a member of the Murder Defense Panel for the Committee for Public Counsel Services, the Hampden County and Massachusetts Bar Associations, is on the Board of the Hampden County Bar Advocates, and is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. In 2002, John was voted “Best Criminal Attorney” by his peers in the Western Massachusetts Law Tribune Readers’ Poll.
